Can your machine run Zerds?
Run a quick check. Like Zerds itself, the test runs entirely in your browser — nothing about your hardware is uploaded anywhere.
No install needed. This is an estimate from what your browser reports (deliberately limited, for privacy) plus a short on-device speed test.
The short version
What Zerds needs
Most laptops from the last few years run Zerds comfortably. The heavier the model — and the more you want live, real-time transcription — the more a recent GPU helps.
Minimum
- macOS 13+, Windows 10/11 x64, or Linux x64
- 4 CPU cores
- 8 GB RAM
- ~2 GB free disk for models
- Transcribe after the meeting, small.en model
Recommended
- A CUDA-capable NVIDIA GPU
- 8+ CPU cores
- 16 GB RAM
- 5 GB+ free disk for larger models
- Live transcription + on-device AI summaries
Zerds runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. All three are in beta. No GPU? Zerds still runs on CPU — just transcribe after your call.
